Ayudame, b.m, 15.3+h, 2005This pretty mare came in to the sale with several other TB mares- it was hard to choose just one, but we had to, and bought her and brought her to the rescue. We were amazed when we ran her tattoo and found out her registered name was "Ayudame", spanish for "Help Me!" She is a very good mover, clean and sound, and very sensible. As she puts on weight and muscle she will look like the elegant athlete she is. This mare could be competitive in any sport, or just happily hack out around the countryside.
Link to YouTube video- NOTE: The footing was horrible- alternated between frozen and sucky mud- we could only use half of our riding paddock- she hadn't been ridden in weeks but was as quiet as can be.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUQEIw_TrSE VIDEO (June): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM5fKm6IU4I Jump school (July): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhudmFOJo9M UPDATE 1/5/12- Mae, Mae, Mae, what can we say? This lovely mare just hasn't found the right home. We placed her with a great upper level event rider but she just was ADR (Aint Doin Right.) She was quiet but very tense, hanging in the back of her stall, not happy outside, worried under saddle. She was being very well handled. well fed, and well ridden without a doubt, but was losing weight. She ended up with ulcers and Lyme- she has been treated for ulcers and is midway through her Lyme treatment. Mae probably needs her own person and a real one on one home. We REALLY like this mare and just have not done the right thing by her yet. She is back at the rescue, we are going to give her some time to come around. Update 2/1/12- Mae is returning to her sweet self- we have just had her re-tested for Lyme to see if she is clear- but she is putting weight on and moving better. When Sally asked for the canter the first time she did prop a little but quickly gave it up. Link to YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xt5crEft2Y
Update 2/8/12-Mae still tested a strong positive for Lyme but chronic, not acute- we are changing her antibiotics but will give her the time she needs... Saved thanks to a donation from the Friends of Twilight. |
