NEW PICS 3/10/11

Chief, b.g., 16.0h +growing, 2007

Chief was a big puppy in his previous life LOL. He is recently off the track and is totally embracing the riding horse lifestyle. As you can see, he was very tight and upside down when he came in---and still is-- but improves with every single ride. As he learns to carry himself and not keep his nose in the ozone, he will be a fabulous looking horse. Good mover, very sensible, wants nothing more than to please. Loves to interact with people, looking forward to a new career.

UPDATE 3/10/11- Our boy Chief is finally maturing! When he came in he was so inverted, butt high, and the underside of his neck looked like Arnold Schwarzenegger- while many people would have put draw reins or some other artificial aid on him, we have just given him time to grow into himself and discover muscles he never knew he had. Chief tries very hard and is getting there- he still has a long way to go (yes, you CAN stretch over your withers) but now that spring is here and the footing has improved we hope to be able to work with him more regularly. He is still the same sweet class clown in the field though!
