Springfest HT 5/1/11
|
Devilinhiheels, ch.m, 15.3+h, 2006This lovely mare came from the same great connections as Jet, Sully, Causie, and Elwood. She is lightly raced, clean as a whistle, and very quiet and willing. Pics and video were taken her first day back under saddle since she ran a couple of weeks ago, and first time around the farm. As you can see, she took it all in stride. This pretty gal is a daughter of the popular sport horse sire Harry the Hat. She has what it takes to excel in any sport (except racing LOL!) Update 2/7/11- Much to our total surprise, we caught her cribbing today- the first time ever- we were totally shocked- but did reduce her fee slightly as a result. Regardless, she is a lovely mare with a great temperament- now comes with her own miracle collar! Link to YouTube Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejSPMY85620 Update 5/3- Bev's horse got hurt before Sunday's Springfest Unrecognized HT so on Saturday Bev bought some dollar store flowers and put a couple of bales of straw out and introduced colored fences to Devil. She seemed to get the idea so Bev brought her to Springfest on Sunday to run in the Elementary Horse Division. She shipped to the event like a pro, walked off the trailer and warmed up quietly. She did a respectable WT dressage test, placing 2nd in a class of high headed TBs (LOL). She had a stop and go jump a the first xc fence, a new cordwood pile, but then figured it out and trotted happily around without any hesitation. She didn't mind leaving the group, or horses out on the course. In SJ she had one rail down when she forgot to bring her hind end up but otherwise was perfect. She ended up in 4th! What a good girl! She will be perfect for a kid moving up to a TB or a re-rider getting back into riding.
