The votes are in and the
2011 MAHR/ASPCA Ambassador of the Year
goes to
Billy (Young Lord)
Congratulations!!! Billy received an embroidered wool dress sheet and an engraved silver bowl- and we have something ordered for all of the great runners up.
It was a very close race- while Billy was the clear winner, the others were very close in the final standings. All were great stories, told from the heart. We have some very lucky horses! Thanks to all who submitted stories and voted, and thanks to the ASPCA for their continued support.
Ambassador Award
We all know how great thoroughbreds are- Now we want to showcase MidAtlantic Horse Rescue graduates!! Announcing the MAHR Ambassador Award, made possible by the ASPCA Rescuing Racers Initiative. Our adopted horses are out and about doing great things, which in turn generates more adoptions and more horses saved. Any MAHR adopted thoroughbred is eligible- send us YOUR horse's story, and why he or she should be Ambassador of the Year. Did he jump around at all of the events you entered? Carry a young rider safely in lessons? Get you back into riding and enjoying it? Finally get that left lead consistently LOL? Send us your story and pics- update it throughout the year- in December we will hold a vote to see who will be the MAHR Ambassador of 2011!
All entrants will receive a Blue MAHR/ASPCA Ambassador saddle pad. The year end winner will get an embroidered cooler and lovely trophy! Come on, it's time to BRAG!!!!
