Cerberus, b. g., 16.1+, 2005.By Fusaichi Pegasus- Wow! Available soon! Cerberus is a big handsome son of Fusaichi Pegasus, KY Derby winner and sire of athletic, talented, high dollar babies. This guy, valued in the high 6 figure range as a baby, suffered a minor high bow as a two year old- after rehab he went back into training and subsequently suffered a second lesion just below the first. (See pics) He is SOUND, there is only a little heat in the tendon, but he does need some time off. His owner did the right thing by opting not to race him and injure him more. Cerberus is turned out now in a small paddock and does not need to be bandaged or anything, just needs time for the tendon to totally heal. Looking for the right home where he can get the time he needs- then the vet OKs him for anything but racing, chasing, or top level eventing. Call for more info. Update March 2008: Cerberus was adopted by Kristi of MD. She also adopted Princes of Maine and has done very well with him. She fell in love with Cerberus's picture, came with truck and trailer and took him home. He will rehab with Susan (Wind Digger) until later this year when they will start him. Congratulations! |
