For
nearly 20 years we have been rescuing horses out of the killer pens.
Our horses have gone on to do wonderful things, including:

Cobble Creek, dk. b. g, 16.1h, 2003
Cobble was adopted by Dawn in WI as an event/dressage/all around horse. He is her first TB and with the help of Emily (Chromeheart and Tiffy T) is coming along quickly.
From a recent email:
Cobble really likes jumping. Emily thinks he's going to be the horse that gets bored fast of flat work. Maybe we'll have some eventing in our future. Cobbles will have to wait for me to get to that level though :)
Have a great week,
Dawn

Dr Hector, b. g., 15.3h, 2004.
Saved thanks to the Eight Belles Wristband Fund
ADOPTED! Dr Hector was adopted by Jennifer in OH through the Makers Mark Secretariat Center where he will be her daughter's new mount.
Update: Dr. Hector has a barn name- JD given to him by my 13 yr old daughter. She liked the sound of it and says that it doesn't stand for anything in particular. However, since he does things like empty the shavings bags when she cleans his stall and then plays with the empty bags, we joke that it stands for Justa Dork. He is a very entertaining little guy. He likes to pick things up and shake or toss them. I had forgotten how fun young horses are. He is doing great and we are finding out what a character he is. My daughter rode him on Sunday in our big pasture and he was so good- no drama, even for the first time out.

Sunshine Tyler, Gr. G., 16.1h, 2004.
Adopted by Anne in PA as her first horse- Tyler is a poster child for "Crazy TBs" everywhere!
Hi Bev,
Tyler and I went to Olde Ladies Horse Camp this past weekend. Hosted by trainer/instructor Diane Sept, we trailered in to her facility with another camper and participated in games and clinics for two days.
He slept over and I went home at night. He was the perfect boy and was a big hit with everyone. He was the biggest one there! All of the Olde Ladies complimented us on how well we did,
and how calm and sweet he was, especially since I only had him for 12 days and it was our first outing and we had to work on many new techniques together. It is not easy for any horse to be thrown into an arena with 12 other horses and he did really well. We did really well at the egg and spoon ride and we won the ball toss game where we toss a medium sized ball back and forth to another horse and rider. Nothing fazes this horse, I was very, very proud of him.
Thanks!! Anne
