Assisted Placements

These horses are not at our farm, instead interested adopters should contact the current owner directly. The current owner will handle all of the arrangements- we are just trying to help some of these horses find new homes. In exchange for listing these horses, we are asking for a small tax deductible donation to the rescue. To all those listing, especially FREE horses: Do your homework and check out potential homes thoroughly, including reference checks!

Kendra (Chief's Tam) is a beautiful 2000 Dark Brown / Bay Mare. Her father was the great Tamayaz & grandfather Gone West. She is 16.3 h & solidly built but femine. Kendra has 4 white feet and a star, would make a flashy competition horse. She's very athletic and loves to work and learn. She loves trail riding at Fair Hill MD. She can be turned out with geldings or mares and is good with dogs/foxhounds. She has been ridden in an indoor for dressage clinics. Kendra started jumping last year, 2' - 2'6" rails, flower boxes, coops. I think she would excel in Hunter Pacing or Eventing, but the sky's the limit with her - loads of potential! She has been vaccinated in 2010 and is excellent for the farrier. I just don't have the time to ride her the amount she requires. She is not for a beginner because of her athletism but would make a rider with knowledge and time a wonderful horse! Asking $3500 (includes a $500 donation to MAHR). If interested contact Lisa at Paycheck73@yahoo.com or 856-297-9190.

TB mare needs a home! I fell in love with Toto 2 years ago. We had an amazing connection. She raced twice and came in second to last both times. After her unsuccessful races her owner decided if he didn't find a home for her soon he was going to sell her to a trainer in Mexico so I bought her. I hunted her first field with Marlborough as a 4 year old and she was a blast. We had an accident with a line of barbed wire out hunting at the end of the season and she has been more high strung in the hunt field but she is still fine as long as I stick to 2nd field. She is very good on the flat and she would make someone a very nice lower level jumper or dressage horse. Two months ago she came down with Lymes disease. She is cured and ready to get back to work. I love this mare and I want her to have a good home most of all. This is my senior year of high school and I dont have time to show her and give her the time she deserves.

A Success Story

Wolf Pen Lane, bay g., 16.0+ growing, 4 yrs. I pulled this nice guy from the kill pen on a day we did not have room at MAHR- he was already tagged, but Suzanne saw him and called me- I called the kb and made arrangements to go get him. Wolfie is clean, sound, barefoot, and uncomplicated- he is quite athletic and is a natural jumper, already trotting and cantering over little verticals calmly and quietly. He will swap his leads too!  Thes pics were taken when he first came in-- he has filled out, gotten some top line, and let down since then. Great event prospect.

Beautiful chestnut with white star, 16+H, just turned 3 colt.  Started racing and bowed a tendon so owner has decided not to attempt racing him anymore.  He is easy to be around and ride.  Owner just wants to see him go to a good home.  Great prospect for any discipline.  He is currently being stabled at Delaware Park.  He is also an easy keeper!  Mainly eats hay, small amount of grain.
